• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had another nice day.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.

    Out and around the Buxton beaches blow toads, sea mullet and bluefish were caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton a good red drum bite was reported this afternoon.  Some nice puppy drum and bluefish were reported on the Frisco beach.

    The inshore boats had lots of red drum releases, big bluefish catches, black drum and sheephead.

    The offshore boats had good catches of blackfin tuna and a few dolphin. .  The bottom fishing was good with grouper, trigger fish and sea bass caught.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was just gorgeous!  We had a high of 74F, with winds out of the west-south-west this afternoon around 5-8 mph.

    There’s lots to talk about today.  Avon Pier has opened for the season and fish are being caught.  There were gray trout, sea mullet, blow toads, bluefish and puppy drum.  The Point had some drum this morning.  There were also bluefish on lures.  Ramp 48 also had puppy drum and bluefish.  Hatteras Village, oceanside had reports of blow toads,sea mullet and puppy drum.  There was a few bluefish at the inlet also.  The catch of the day goes to Den Mag from New Jersey.  He caught this 47″ black drum off Ramp 49 today.  It weighed 60lbs.  His picture is below.

    The inshore boats had lots of red drum releases, blow toads and bluefish.

    The offshore boats had catches of blackfin tuna, a few dolphin and wahoo.  Those that bottomfished came back with catches of sea bass and triggerfish.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was just beautiful.  We had temperatures around 70F and the winds were all around today.  Started out of the north, ending out of the south-south-west around 10 mph.

    Avon had reports of gray trout, sea mullet and blow toads.  Buxton had some bluefish and sharks.  Frisco had reports of black drum, sea mullet and blow toads.  Hatteras, towards the inlet, had nice size bluefish and drum.

    The inshore boats caught some bluefish and released some red drum.

    The offshore boats had excellent catches of blackfin tuna and a few gaffer dolphin.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Beautiful weather is back today. The temperatures were in the upper 50’s. Winds were from the North-West at 5-10 mph in the morning turning South-West in the afternoon.

    Off the beach today there was scattered fish bites. In Buxton there was puppy drum and sharks at the point. Here in Frisco we had sea-mullet and speckled trout.

    Offshore today there was gaffer dolphin were caught. Near shore there was amberjack and big bluefish caught.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy with lots of wind.  The winds were from the north-west at 15-25 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 50’s.

    There were some puppy drum, blow toads, sea mullet and sharks caught near Cape Point in Buxton.

    No boats out inshore of offshore today.
