• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was sunny again with less wind.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Out at Cape Point in Buxton there were a few spanish mackerel, bluefish and sea mullet reported.  Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet, bluefish, spanish mackerel and  sheepshead were caught.

    The inshore boats had real good fishing today in the Pamlico Sound and outside Hatteras Inlet.  Gary trout, bluefish, sea mullet and spot were all caught in the Pamlico Sound.  The Cobia bite was good again today with several caught.  Pictured is Eric Partin and crew with a nice 88 lb cobia caught out on the  shoals at Cape Point in Buxton.

    The offshore action was really good too.  Excellent dolphin fishing with a few wahoo and black fin tuna reported.  The blue marlin fishing is really good right now too.  4 blue marlin were released today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was sunny and windy.  The winds were from the south-west at 15-25 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.

    Out at Cape Point in Buxton there were yearling drum, sea mullet and bluefish on lures.  Around the Buxton beaches and the jetties small stripers and flounder were reported.  Over on the Frisco beach sheeps head, sea mullet and pompano were caught.  Pictured is Mark Lamphier from Fredericksburg VA with a 6 lb 13 oz sheepshead caught on the Frisco beach today.

    The inshore boats caught more cobia, bluefish, puppy drum and big red drum and spanish mackerel in and around Hatteras Inlet.   The offshore boats had lots of gaffer dolphin, a few blackfin tuna, wahoo and grouper off the bottom.  One blue marlin was released.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was warm and sunny with light wind.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

     

    Out at Cape Point in Buxton there was a nice cobia caught as well as a bluefish blitz late in the afternoon.  Over on the Frisco beach some sea mullet and a pompano was caught.  The Hatteras beaches had pompano, sheepshead and sea mullet reported.

    Pictured is Curtis Dennis with a 4 lb 12 oz sheeps head caught on the south beach today.

    The inshore boats caught lots of cobia, bluefish and spanish mackerel.   The offshore boats had lots of gaffer dolphin, a few blackfin tuna and tilefish and grouper off the bottom.  One blue marlin was released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a beautiful day on Hatteras Island.  We had a temperature around 73F today.  The winds were out of the north-north-east this morning and switched this afternoon to the east-north-east tonight.

    There have been some sea mullet and bluefish scattered up and down the beaches.

    The inshore boats had catches of speckled trout, spanish mackerel, bluefish, cobia, puppy drum and some citation red drum.  Pictured below is Hallelujah Charter’s with a nice bluefish and puppy drum.

    The offshore boats had excellent catches of dolphin and tilefish.  There was a blue and white marlin released today also.  Pictured below is Hatteras Blue with a nice catch of dolphin.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today started off a little cool, but warmed up nicely.  We had temperatures in the low 70’s and southwest winds around 12 mph, increasing this evening to 18 mph.

    There are bluefish and sea mullet scattered up and down the beaches, there were also a couple of flounder at Ramp 44.

    The inshore boats had good catches of bluefish and spanish mackerel.  They also had several red drum releases.

    The offshore boats came back with lots of dolphin, some wahoo and blackfin tunas.  Those that bottomfished caught tile and grouper.
