    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was a beautiful, but breezy day.  We had westerly winds around 12 mph and reached a high of 70F.

    Avon had reports of puppy drum and gray trout today.  The Point had some puppy drum and yearlings.  On the southside of the Point there were sea mullet, bluefish and croakers.

    The inshore boats caught puppy drum, bluefish and a flounder.

    The winds kept the offshore boats to the dock today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Not the greatest fishing weather today. The temperatures were cooler in the high 60’s. Winds were from the West at 15-20 mph.

     

    Slow fishing off the beaches today. This morning there was some puppy drum and yearling drum caught at the point. This afternoon on the sound side in Hatteras there was puppy drum flounder and speckled trout caught.

    Inshore this morning there was some good fishing. There was keeper puppy drum and bluefish biting in the sound.

    No offshore report for today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was windy with lots of rain.  The winds were from the south south-west at 20-25 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

    Today was the final day of the 34th Ocracoke Annual Surf Fishing Tournament.  The weather was not ideal to say the least but the final day few teams fished.  Some were rewarded with some drum action.  Results are below.

    Out at Cape Point in Buxton today the drum bite turned on when the rain turned off this afternoon.  There were big bluefish caught as well.

     

    No boats fished today inshore or offshore today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was windy and sunny.  The winds were from the east south-east at 20-25 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.

    Out at Cape Point in Buxton nice bluefish, big and small, puppy drum and flounder were caught.

    Pictured is Alan Fehr of Millersville PA with a couple of nice bluefish caught out at Cape Point in Buxton today.  Pretty work Alan!!!

    Around the Buxton beaches puppy drum and bluefish were reported.

    The inshore boats caught puppy drum and big red drum today in the Pamlico Sound.

    The offshore fleet had good dolphin action, some wahoo and black fin tuna and two sailfish and two white marlin releases.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was much nicer with calm winds and sunny skies.  The winds were from the north-west at 5-10 mph switching to the south-west at 5-10 mph late in the day.  The temperatures were around 80 degrees today.

    Out at Cape Point in Buxton bluefish, sea mullet, puppy drum and flounder were reported.  Around the Buxton beaches bluefish and a few puppy drum were caught.   Over on the Frisco beach some nice flounder and big bluefish were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach puppy drum and yearling drum were reported.

    The inshore boats had real good red drum and puppy drum catches today in the Pamlico Sound.  The offshore boats caught dolphin and black fin tuna.  One blue marlin and one sailfish were released.
