Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

We had partly cloudy skies today, with temperatures in the lower 60’s. Winds started out of the north this morning, switching to the east this afternoon, then the south-south-east tonight, all have been light.

The northern beaches are catching speckled trout, sea mullet and puppy drum. Here at Ramp 49 there were bluefish reported. This morning around Frisco Pier were some speckled trout.

Charter and commercial boats fished today. They had good catches of king mackerel and blackfin tuna. There is no inshore report today.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had clear skies and a temperature of 53F. The winds were out of the north, blowing around 5-10 mph.

The water was dirty on the northern beaches today. We had a few black drum and skates here at Ramp 49. Frisco Pier had a few speckled trout.

There is no inshore report for today.

The offshore boats had excellent catches of king mackerel, good catches of blackfin tuna, some wahoo and albacore.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Weather took a turn for the worst today. Temperatures dropped to the upper 50’s. Winds were from the North at 10-15 mph.

Slower fishing with the cold windy conditions today. In Avon and in Buxton there was bluefish and speckled trout caught. Off the Avon pier today the red drum bite was phenomenal. No reports here in Frisco or Hatteras.

No inshore or offshore reports for today due to winds.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Beautiful warm weather today. Temperatures were in the upper 60’s for most of the day. Winds were calm from the South-East.

Some pretty good fishing from the beach today. From Avon to Hatteras there was puppy drum, black drum, small bluefish, speckled trout and blowtoads. Skates and sharks are out in full force as well.

Inshore today there was a good bluefish and red drum bite.

Offshore the live bat king mackerel fishing was great. Wahoo and black-fin tuna were biting today as well.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

We hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiviing with friends and family.

We will be open in the morning at 6am for lots of Black Friday Sales and plenty of mullet and bait.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was warm and sunny with calm winds. We had south-west winds 5 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s.

Up on the Avon beach puppy drum were reported. Around the Buxton beaches good puppy drum action and some sea mullet were caught. Out at Cape Point in Buxton real good big red drum most of the day with the light south-west winds. Still plenty of sharks and skates and some blue fish. Over on the Frisco beach good sea mullet action, some puppy drum and a few speckled trout were reported. Down around the Hatteras beach puppy drum and bluefish were reported.

No reports from the inshore or offshore fleet today.
