• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Beautiful weather today. Temperatures were in the mid 70’s throughout the day. Winds were from the South west at 5-10 mph.

    Fair fishing off the beach today. In Avon there was bluefish off teh beach. From the Avon Pier and off the beach in Buxton there was bluefish, sea-mullet and some drum biting. Here in Frisco we had small flounder, bluefish, and blow-toads caught.

    Today was the start of the Cape Hatteras Anglers Club 59th Annual Invitational Surf Fishing Tournament. And there was lots of fish caught. To keep up with the tournametn check out there Facbook page.

    Inshore today the keeper drum were biting great.

    Offshore today there was a great king mackerel bite. The wahoo and black-fin tuna were biting as well.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    We had another beautiful fall day here on Hatteras Island.  The temperatures were in the lower 70’s and winds out of the north this morning, switching to the southwest this evening.

    Avon Pier had a few nice drum last night.  Today there were some sea mullet, blow toads, black drum and bluefish.  Buxton had reports of bluefish, puppy drum and sea mullet.  Frisco had bluefish and sea mullet.

    The inshore boats had keeper speckled trout and lots of undersized.

    The offshore boats had nice catches of blackfin tunas and king mackerel.  Pictured below is Good Times Sportfishing with a nice blackfin caught today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was another beautiful day here on Hatteras Island.  Temperatures were in the low 70’s today with light northeast breezes.

    Avon had some puppy drum today.  Frisco had some blow toads, small croaker and bluefish.

    The inshore boats caught some speckled trout and puppy drum today.

    The offshore boats had catches of dolphin, king mackerel and blackfin tuna.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    We had clear skies today with a temperature around 72.  A low moved in and cooled us down with some north-north-east winds.  The winds were anywhere from 8-16 mph today.

    These cooler temperatures hopefully will stir the fish up!  Avon is reporting some sea mullet and bluefish today.  Buxton had several puppy drum.  Last night at the Point there were a lot of yearling size drum.  Pictured below is Hailey Buttner-Oneal with her catch from last night.  Frisco had a few sea mullet today.  Hatteras had  puppy drum, blow toads and bluefish.

    The inshore boats had catches of keeper red drum and flounder.

    The offshore boats had catches of king mackerel.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a beautiful, sunny day on Hatteras Island.  We had temperatures in the upper 70’s.  The winds were out of the west before lunch, switched to the west-south-west after lunch, blowing around 10 mph.

    The fishing is on the slow side for this time of year.  This storm really messed things up, not to mention the near 80 degree temperatures don’t help.  Some cooler weather would really help. Avon had some catches of bluefish Buxton is reporting some bluefish and red drum.  There were some caught last night at the Point and around 4 this morning.  Will let you know tomorrow if there were any tonight.  Frisco had reports of a few blow toads and sea mullet.  Hatteras had a few puppy drum and sea mullet.

    The inshore boats stayed at the dock today.  It was just a little too breezy for them.

    The offshore boats had a few king mackerel, dolphin and triggerfish.
