    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was a nice day.  The temperature was like yesterday, around the mid 80’s.  The winds were out of the southwest around 10 mph.  There is a little rain moving in and the winds will switch tomorrow, which will feel cooler.

    There’s a few fish around today.  In Avon there were some gray trout, pompano and croaker.  The Pier had spanish mackerel, small bluefish, croaker, sea mullet and a few flounder.  Buxton had some spanish mackerel, small bluefish and croaker.  There were a few croaker in Frisco.  Hatteras had reports of croaker, small bluefish, pompano and sea mullet.

    The inshore boats had catches of speckled trout, gray trout, small flounder and red drum.

    A few offshore boats ventured out today.  They had catches of tuna, wahoo and tilefish.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today felt nice.  It was cooler than earlier in the week.  We had temperatures in the mid 80’s and southwest winds between 5-10 mph.

    It’s summertime and that means the fish are here or there and in between.  Avon is reporting sea mullet and croaker.  At the Pier there were spanish mackerel, small bluefish, spot, croaker and flounder.  Buxton had reports of a few spanish mackerel, small bluefish and sea mullet,  Frisco had bluefish, sea mullet and croaker.  Hatteras had some small bluefish, croaker and sea mullet.

    The inshore boats had nice catches of speckled trout and bluefish.

    One boat made it offshore today and they had a descent catch of blackfin tuna.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The weather today was hot again. Temperatures were in the upper 80’s again. We had some scatter thunder storms late in the afternoon. Winds were from the East most of the day turning South in the afternoon at 5-10 mph.

    From the beach there was some good fishing. In avon there was sea-mullet, pompano and bluefish caught from the beach. off the pier there was sea-mullet, croaker, bluefish, spanish mackerel, and flounder biting. In Buxton there was sea-mullet, pompano, and spanish mackerel biting. Here in Frisco there was pompano and sea-mullet caught. In Hatteras there was sea-mullet caught.

    Inshore today there was a great bluefish and spanish mackerel bite. In The sound thee was speckled trout, and grey trout caught.

    Near shore there was a great king mackerel bite. A few cobia were caught as well.

    Billfish action was on today with multiple blue marlin released and a few sailfish as well. Dolphin and wahoo were scattered today but there was a good blackfin tuna bite. From the bottom there was grouper, grey tilefish, and amberjack.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Another great day to be on the water. The temperatures were in the upper 80’s again today. Winds were from the South-West at 10-15 mph laying down late in the afternoon.

    From the beach today there was some fair fishing. In Avon there was sea-mullet and bluefish biting. Off the Pier there was spanish mackerel, bluefish, sheepshead, and sea-mullet caught. In Buxton the spanish and bluefish were biting at the point and sea-mullet were scattered on the beach. Here i Frisco we had sea-mullet biting. In Hatteras there was bluefish, croaker and spot caught.

    INshore today there was a good speckled trout and puppy drum bite, as well as bluefish.

    Offshore today there was bailer and gaffer dolphin and also some black-fin tuna caught.

    Beautiful weather today. The temperatures were in the upper 80’s. Winds were from the South-West at 5-10 mph.

    From the beach today there was some good fishing. In Avon there was sea-mullet, croaker, and bluefish from the beach. From the Avon Pier there was spanish mackerel, and bluefish mixed in with sea-mullet, pompano, croaker and flounder biting. In Buxton there was bluefish, spanish mackerel, and sea-mullet caught. Here i Frisco there was spanish and sea-mullet caught. Hatteras beach had sea-mullet, croaker, flounder, and bluefish biting.

    Inshore today there was good fishing. There was a fair speckled trout bite. There was a good spanish mackerel and bluefish bite.

    Near shore there was good bottom fishing with sea-bass and triggerfish biting.

    Offshore today the fishing was spread out across the map but the fishing was fair. there was dolphin, wahoo, and black-fin tuna biting.
