Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was a beautiful, sunny day here on Hatteras Island. We had temperatures in the upper 80’s and light winds out of the southeast, switching to the east-north-east tonight.

Today was a good day fishing. Avon beach had spanish mackerel, small bluefish and sea mullet. Avon Pier had a nice 13lb mahi (picture below), spanish mackerel, bluefish, spadefish, spot and croaker. Buxton reports spanish mackerel, bluefish, pompano and a puppy drum. Frisco had pompano (picture below), puppy drum and black drum. Hatteras had sea mullet, pompano, small flounder and a puppy drum.

Whitey with a nice citation pompano, weighing in a little over 2 1/2lbs.

The inshore boats had nice catches of red drum today, along with spanish mackerel and bluefish.

The offshore boats had good catches of dolphin and the wahoo and blackfin tuna bite was scattered. There were three sailfish released today.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had beautiful sunny skies with highs in the upper 80’s. The winds were light and variable all day. Enjoy this beautiful day.

Avon is reporting spanish mackerel, bluefish and pompano today. In Buxton they had some sea mullet. Here in Frisco, we had some spanish mackerel and sea mullet. Down in Hatteras they had some puppy drum, spot and sea mullet.

The inshore boats had catches of spanish mackerel, bluefish and red drum today. There were also clams to be raked 🙂

The offshore boats had good catches of dolphin, blackfin tun and a few wahoo. The bottomfish boats caught some grouper. There were 7 sailfish releases today.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Still a little breezy but not enough to stop you from being on the water. Winds were from the West today a 10-15 mph. Temperatures were in the upper 80’s. There was a few clouds around in the morning but skies cleared up in the afternoon.

Good fishing from the beach today. In Avon there was grey trout, bluefish, and croaker. From the Pier there was spanish mackerel, bluefish, spot, and croaker. In Buxton, here in Frisco, and on the beach in Hatteras there was sea-mullet caught. On the sound side in Hatteras there was puppy drum biting.

Not many boats fished inshore today, but for the ones that did it paid off. There was a good puppy drum and red drum bite as well as bluefish being caught.

Spanish mackerel and bluefish were biting near shore again today.

Another great day off shore. The sailfish were biting good again today. Scatteread black-fin tuna bite but the dolphin bite was good.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Great weather today. Temperatures were in the mid 70’s for most of the morning and warmed up to upper 80’s late in the afternoon. Winds were from the North-West most of the day turning South-West late in the afternoon also.

From the beach today the fishing was slower again. In Avon off the beach and pier there was sea-mullet, spot, and croaker caught. In Buxton there was Flounder biting. In Frisco and Hatteras there was sea-mullet caught.

Inshore today there was A great puppy drum and red drum bite. There was also a few speckled trout caught.

Near shore today the spanish mackerel and bluefish were biting great.

Offshore today there was rough conditions but fair fishing.Black-fin tuna, and dolphin were biting good today. There was a scattere wahoo caught as well.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Windy and warm weather with blue skies today. The winds were 10-15 gusting to 20 mph from the South-West. Temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

Better fishing from the beach today. Off the beach in Avon there was croaker, and puppy drum caught. From the Avon Pier there was spot, croaker, sea-mullet, bluefish, and flounder. In Buxton and here in Frisco there was sea-mullet biting. In Hatteras there was flounder and puppy drum caught.

Inshore today there was a fair red drum bite and a few speckled trout were caught in the morning. In The afternoon there was speckled trout, gray trout, sea mullet, and spot biting. A nice cobia was caught this afternoon as well.

Offshore was rough but fish were biting. There was a great sailfish bite today. The gaffer and bailer dolphin were biting good. A few black-fin tuna and wahoo made it into the boxes today.
