    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Another beautiful day. The skies were clear and blue. The temperature was in the upper 60’s. Wind’s were North-East at 5-10 mph.

    From the beach today the fishing was good. In Avon there was puppy drum, sea-mullet, and bluefish. From the Pier there was Puppy drum, sea-mullet, black drum, blow-toads and some blues mixed in. In Buxton there was larger drum caught at the point and some bluefish. Here in Frisco there was small bluefish, sea-mullet and blow-toads. Hatteras beach had puppy drum, bluefish, flounder, blow toads and a few larger drum caught.

     

    Inshore today the fishing was slower. There was a good bite of bluefish with a scattered speckled trout in the mix.

    Offshore was much better today. There was a good catch of dolphin and black-fin tuna. There was a scattered bite from the wahoo and even some yellow-fin tuna caught. There was a few billfish released as well today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Clear blue skies again today. The temperature was around 70  with winds from the North again at 5-10 mph.

     

    From the beach today the fishing was scttered. In Avon from the beach and pier there was sea-mullet and bluefish caught. In Buxton there was more bluefish and sea-mullet b Not much here in Frisco there was a lot of grass. Hatteras beach had some nice keeper puppy drum caught along with flounder, bluefish and some blowtoads.

    Inshore today the speckled trout and gray trout fishing was great. There was a good bite from the bluefish also. The smaller flounder were biting today but only a few were keepers.

    Not much fishing from offshore today. There was a good amberjack bite and from the bottom there was vermilion snapper, silver snapper and triggerfish caught.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Another sunny day here on the island. Temperatures were in the mid 70’s. Winds were calm from the North in the morning turning South in the afternoon.

    Fishing from the beach was great today. There were lots of puppy drum and even some larger drum all along the beach. In Avon there was sea-mullet and bluefish from the beach. From the pier there was spot and bluefish. In Buxton there was a good bite from the blues. Here in Frisco there was sea-mullet and blowtoads. Hatteras beach had flounder and bluefish caught.

     

    Inshore today the fishing was great. There was a good bite of gray trout and speckled trout. The bluefish were biting as well today.

    Offshore today there was a scattered bite from the dolphin. There was some larger sized wahoo caught today. The black-fin tuna bite was good.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was nice with sunny skies.  The winds were from the north at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were around 70′ degrees.

    Up on the Avon beaches black drum, puppy drum, bluefish and sea mullet were reported.  Ramp 43 in Buxton is now open. There were bluefish, puppy drum and sea mullet caught around Buxton.  Puppy drum and a few blow toads reported on the Frisco Beach.  Down around Hatteras Inlet bluefish,flounder, speckled trout, sea mullet and puppy drum were caught.

    The inshore boats had a good variety of fish today,  Bluefish, flounder, speckled trout, puppy drum and big red drum.

    Captain Rom Whitaker of Release won the  Governors Cup Award for the charter boat division this year.Congratulations  Captain Rom.

    The offshore boats had a great catch of black fin tuna, dolphin and good sea bass action.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had light winds and sunny skies.  The winds were from the north at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 60’s.

    Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches black drum, puppy drum, bluefish and sea mullet were reported.  Ramp 43 in Buxton has opened today.  There is still some water on the road so proceed with caution.  Only some sea mullet and bluefish reported on the Frisco Beach.  Down around Hatteras Inlet bluefish, sea mullet and puppy drum were caught.

    The offshore boats had slow fishing today with some wahoo and gaffer dolphin caught.
