• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The day started out cloudy but turned out to be a beautiful day.The temperature was hovering around 70 today with the morning starting off cooler. South East winds again today lioght

    From the beach today the fish were all over. The black drum and puppy drum where just about anywhere you were fishing from Avon to Frisco. The sea-mullet and blow toads are here in full force also. From the pier in Avon there was some croaker and spot caught.

    Francis Kennedy is back in town and he’s catching the fish. He brought us this 9.5 pound black drum he caught this afternoon at Ramp 49.

    For the inshore boats today there was a good bluefish bite along with some citation sized red drum caught.

    Offshore today the fishing was great.There was multiple blue marlin seen today along with a couple wahoo being caught. The gaffer dolphin, blackfin tuna, and yellowfin tuna were biting steady today also. From the bottom there was black sea bass, amber jack, and some nice sized grouper.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The weather today was perfect for being on the beach. The cloud cover this morning kept the temperatures around the mid 60’s, but when it cleared up the temperature rose to the mid 70’s. The winds were very calm today and from the South-East.

    the fishing from the beach was pretty good today. In Avon there was sea-mullet, spot, bluefish, and blow toads caught. In Buxton the blues, blow toads, sea-mullet, and drum were biting. In Hatteras the flounder were biting along with the bluefish, sea-mullet, and blowtoads.

    Jack Revere is at it again. He caught this nice flounder while fishing in the Hatteras Harbor today.

    Several boats fished inshore today and experienced good Red Drum fishing. Ther was a good bite of bluefish just outside the inlet today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny.  The winds were from the south-east at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s.

    Around the Buxton beaches there were some blow toads, sea mullet and puppy drum and some yearling red drum caught.  The picture below is Warren Wyatt from King William VA with a nice 35 in red drum caught over on Ramp 44 in Buxton.

    Out at Cape Point in Buxton some yearling drum, bluefish and blow toads were caught.  Over on the Frisco Beach at Ramp 49 bluefish, blow toads and puppy drum were reported.  Down on the Hatteras beach some bluefish, sea mullet and a few flounder were caught.

    No boats fished inshore or offshore today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly cloudy with some light rain at times.  The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 50’s.

    Around the Buxton beaches there were some blow toads caught.  Over on Ramp 49 in Frisco and down on the Hatteras beaches some blow toads and sea mullet were reported.

    No boats fished inshore or offshore today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly cloudy with some heavy rain showers at times.  The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s.

    Around the Buxton beaches there were bluefish caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton the big red drum hit the point late in the afternoon into the evening.  25-30 red drum were reported.   Over on Ramp 49 in Frisco some blow toads were caught.  The picture below is Meagan McElwain with a nice big red drum caught late this afternoon at Cape Point in Buxton.  Pretty work Meagan!!!

    No boats fished inshore today.

    There were a few offshore boats fishing with reports of good blackfin tuna fishing with a few yellowfin tuna and dolphin mixed in.
