• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was we had mostly cloudy skies.  The morning started off nice, 55F and hardly any wind.  By noon time, the winds picked up and the temperatures had started to drop a little.  We have northeast winds for the remainder of the day, 10-15 mph.

    The only thing being caught on the beach today have been sharks and skates.  Hopefully tomorrow will be different.

    The offshore action picked up today.  There were quite a few bluefin tunas released and brought in.  The girls on the Reel Action brought in a bluefin.  Can’t wait for the show to air in the fall!  There were also some yellowfin tuna and gray tilefish.  Pictured below is Tuna Duck with a bluefin tuna and Bite Me with a bluefin tuna.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The weather today was much better. The sun was shining and the temperatures were in the lower 50’s. The winds were north 5-10 mph for most of the day and turned south late in the day.

    From the beach today the fishing picked up. At the point today there was a few drum caught along with a small flounder and some blow toads. In Hatteras there was some sea-mullet and blow toads caught.

    Inshore today there was a great puppy drum bite.

    Offshore today there was a few blackfin tuna around along with a good bite of yellowfin tuna.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a rainy and windy morning today. The winds were 15-20 mph south-east early in the day, but turned south-west and calmed down to 5-10 mph in the afternoon. As the day went on the rain went away and the temperature rose. The temperature was in the low 60’s.

    From the beach today we were hearing of a few puppy drum biting after the rain left.

    Rain and wind kept the boats docked today.

    Today we had partly cloudy skies.  The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 50’s.

    The Frisco beach around the Pier had some puppy drum action today.

    No boats fished inshore or offshore today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had partly sunny skies with light winds.  The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 40’s.

    Out at Cape Point in Buxton sharks and skates were reported. The Frisco beach at Ramp 49 had a real good day of puppy drum fishing.

    No boats fished inshore or offshore today.  Tomorrow looks to be a good day with many boats heading offshore.
