Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had cloudy skies. The morning started out very foggy with cooler temperatures than yesterday, that lasted all day. The temperature stayed in the mid 40’s today. We had west winds this morning around 5-10 mph, then switched this evening to the northeast around 8-12 mph.

The puppy drum bite is still going on here in Frisco. Today was a little harder to catch and snag them, the grass was moved in. There was a striper caught yesterday also.

There is no inshore or offshore report for today. Hopefully boats will make it out tomorrow.

Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today turned out to be a nice day overall here on Hatteras Island. The south-east winds brought warmer temperatures and some rain showers off and on today. We reached a high of 52F. The south-east winds were around 8-12 mph.

The south beach is where most of the puppy drum action was today. Any hole down to Frisco Pier had drum in it. Some drum were caught with jigs and grubs, some with bait and some snagged. There were some keepers and some yearling size. A nice day to be out there. Pictures below: Bill Conover caught this spotty pup at Ramp 49 today. Jack Revere is at it again, another nice puppy drum today. Linda Scott snapped this picture of someone bringing their puppy drum catch up from the beach. This pup was caught at Frisco Pier.

The offshore report for today is a few albacore and dolphin.

Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

The temperature stayed the upper 30’s again today. The winds were North North East 10-15 mph. It was another partly cloudy day.

The puppy drum are still here. The bite slowed down a little today but there was still a good amount caught.

Even the youngins are catching puppy drum today. Jack Revere is 7 and he caught this nice one on the Frisco beach.

The wind kept the boats at dock the today.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Looks like the cold might be gone for a little while now. The temperature was in the upper 30’s today with north winds 5-10 mph. The sky was cloudy in the morning but turned out to be nice in the afternoon.

Another great day of puppy drum from the beach here in Frisco. Francis Kennedy brought in this nice 24 inch puppy drum, that was still kicking, he caught right over ramp 49 today.

No boats out today inshore or offshore.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was cloudy with light rain and calm winds. The winds were from the north-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 30’s.

We had a good puppy drum bite today on the Frisco beach over Ramp 49. There were also some puppy drum caught down on the Hatteras Beach.

No boats out today inshore or offshore.
