• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The sun was shining and the winds were calm. The temperature was in the lower 50’s and the winds were light from the north-north-east.

    From the beach today the fishing was better than it has been. In Avon there was sea-mullet puppy drum, and speckled trout caught. In Buxton there was black drum, puppy drum, sea-mullet, and speckled trout caught. In Frisco the bluefish and sea-mullet were biting. In Hatteras there was bluefish, sea-mullet, speckled trout, and puppy drum caught.

    The offshore boats had limits of king mackerel and some scattered dolphin caught.

    No reports from the inshore boats.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The weather today was still cold. The temperature was in the lower 40’s the winds were north-north-east 10-15 mph.

    Fishing was slow today. In Avon there was bluefish and some croakers caught. In Buxton the speckled trout, bluefish, and puppy drum were biting. Frisco beach had a lot of grass and a few bluefish. In Hatteras there was bluefish and puppy drum caught.

    Offshore fishing was very slow only a few boats went and caught king mackerel.

    No reports from the inshore boats.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy.  The winds were from the south-east at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 60’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches today sea mullet and some big drum were reported.  Around the Buxton beaches bluefish, puppy drum and sea mullet were reported.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton a few puppy drum and sharks and skates were reported.  Over on the Frisco beaches bluefish, puppy drum, flounder and sea mullet were caught.

    No reports from the inshore boats or offshore boats today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a beautiful day on Hatteras Island.  We had sunny skies and cold temperatures, 39F.  We had light north and northwest winds for part of the day, switching to the southwest this evening.

    The speckled trout have finally shown up.  Avon beach reports a few speckled trout, sea mullet and small bluefish.  Avon pier had a few big drum and sea mullet.  Buxton beach reports sea mullet and small bluefish also.  Frisco reports bluefish, sea mullet and black drum.  Hatteras reports bluefish, few flounder, few puppy drum and  sea mullet.

    There is no inshore or offshore report for today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The cold weather is back. The temperature was around the lower 40’s and winds were north-west 10-15 mph. The skies were partly cloudy.

    even with the cold wind the fish were biting. In Avon the sea-mullet, puppy drum, and croakers were biting. In Buxton there was sea-mullet, and puppy drum caught. In Frisco there was a good catch of spot and sea-mullet. Got a late report of some puppy drum around the old Frisco pier. In Hatteras the bluefish, sea-mullet, and even some keeper flounder were caught.

    There is no inshore or offshore report for today.
