• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had another nice day. The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s.

    They closed Cape Point in Buxton today due to a couple of Piping Plovers exhibiting mating behavior.  Puppy drum were caught on the Buxton beach today by the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Jetties.  The Frisco Beaches over on Ramp 49 had excellent puppy drum catches throughout the day with the morning bite being better.  A few sea mullet were also reported.  The picture below is Jack Revere with one of the puppy drum he and his dad caught today on the Frisco Beach.  Pretty work Jack!!

    The inshore boats had excellent puppy drum fishing in the Pamlico Sound.  The offshore boats caught a few dolphin, some albacore, tile fish and trigger fish.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today the weather was great.  We had light south-west winds at 5 mph with the temperatures in the mid 60’s.

    The puppy drum fishing was really good today from Cape Point in Buxton to over on the Frisco Beach at Ramp 49.

    There is no inshore report today.  The offshore bite out of Hatteras NC was a little slow.  A few dolphin and a few blackfin tuna reported.  There was some  decent triggerfish and a nice grouper caught.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    We had overcast skies this morning with north-west winds around 15 mph and temps in the mid 40’s.  The winds calmed down and the sun came out this afternoon.  The winds were still coming out of the north, but only around 5 mph with a temperature in the mid 50’s.

    There was a few puppy drum caught at Cape Point, Frisco and Hatteras.  The rest of the week will be beautiful, so the winds should die down and the fishing should pick up.

    There is no inshore or offshore report for today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The morning started off nice, light south-west winds with temperature in the upper 50’s.  That quickly changed.  By 4pm, the temperature was in the mid 40’s and the wind had switched to the north-west at 15 mph.

    There is no surf fishing report for today.  The seas are rough and the water is dirty, hopefully tomorrow will be better.

    There is no inshore or offshore report for today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today wasn’t the prettiest of days this week. The temperature was in the 60’s and skies were cloudy. Winds from the south around 10-15mph picked up later in the day to 20-25mph with gusts up to 35mph. Rain set in around noon, but there were still some people out fishing.

    Although the weather wasn’t cooperating, some puppy drum were caught at Cape Point in Buxton. There were no reports of fish from the Frisco beaches today.

    This morning some inshore charters had limits of puppy drum in the Pamlico sound before the rain.

    There is no offshore report for today.
