  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Today was the kind of cold that makes my bones hurt. Well, joints, but you get the point. The high was 34 while the low was 23 with light to gentle winds. Gusts up to 29mph. Currently it’s 27, feels like 20, with NW winds around 3mph. Tomorrow should bring more light to gentle winds that will start from the WNW then switch to WSW by evening. Temps should get up to 47.

    Fishing reports are lackluster, as to be expected for this time of year. But the holiday cheer is here! If you’ve been by the store lately you may have noticed our newest additions to the holiday decorations – two light pole fixtures! One on the north side and one on the south side. And of course our porch is decked out in its usual garland, bows, and lights. Inside the store is decorated with plenty holiday cheer and sales to get the Christmas shopping going!

    There was no doubt today was cold. What started as rain this morning has led into snow this evening. A little “sound effect” band that effected parts of Dare, Hyde, and Tyrell counties. Today’s high was 61 while the low was 30 with light to moderate winds. Gusts up to 49mph. Currently it’s 30, feels like 19, with NNW winds around 11mph. Gusts around 25mph. Tomorrow should be more chilly temps with the high staying below 40. Winds will decrease throughout the day.
