• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was another nice and sunny day.  The winds were from the east north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

    On the Avon beach there were spot, croaker sea mullet and bluefish reported.   Around the Buxton beaches a few sea mullet, spot and spanish mackerel were caught.  Over on the Frisco beach a some citation sea mullet, pompano and bluefish were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach bluefish, coraker, spot  and some flounder were reported.  The picture below is Savannah Marshall of Chesapeake VA with a citation 1 lb 10 oz Sea Mullet caught off the Frisco Beach today.  Pretty work Savannah!!!

    The inshore boats had some big red drum, speckled and gray trout, bluefish and a few flounder.  The picture below Dean Taguwa with a nice Red Drum caught this afternoon in the Pamlico Sound.

    The offshore boats caught some dolphin and a few wahoo.  A white marlin, a blue marlin and a sailfish were released today out of the Hatteras fleet.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was nice with sunny skies, light winds and very little humidity..  The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    On the Avon beach there were flounder and sea mullet with a 50″ red drum released.  Around the Buxton beaches only a few sea mullet, spot and croaker were reported.  Over on the Frisco beach a some sea mullet, spot, croaker and some keeper puppy drum were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach and around the Inlet catches of spot, croaker, flounder, bluefish and a few puppy drum were reported.

    The inshore boats had some real  good catches puppy drum and a few big red drum have been caught as well.  The picture below is Angie Ballance of Frisco NC with a nice big ol red drum she caught in the Pamlico Sound this afternoon.  Pretty work Angie!!!

    The offshore fishing consisted of scattered dolphin, blackfin tuna and wahoo.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies and light winds.  The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    On the Avon beach there were spot, croaker and sea mullet reported.  Around the Buxton beaches only a few sea mullet and pompano were caught.  Over on the Frisco beach a few sea mullet and a keeper puppy drum were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach at the Inlet the bluefish bite turned on little with lures.  A few spot, croaker and sea mullet were also reported.

    The inshore boats had good catches spanish mackerel and bluefish in and around Hatteras Inlet.    The puppy drum and gray trout fishing were good in the Pamlico Sound today.

    The offshore fishing was slow for meat fishing.  Scattered dolphin and wahoo.  Four sailfish and 2 blue marlin were released.  The trigger fishing was good today from the bottom.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with a high near 85F.  Winds were out of the west- south-west at 14mph, decreasing later in the evening.

    Fishing is on the slow side right now, Buxton beach had reports of croakers and sea mullet.  Frisco had sea mullet.  Hatteras had reports of spot, sea mullet, flounder and croaker.  There was some puppy drum caught on the sound side as well today.

    The inshore boats had good catches of red drum today.  The offshore boats stayed in due to the weather.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Cloudy day on Hatteras Island with a high of 86F.  We had light WSW winds this morning, switching to straight SW and increasing throughout the day.  There’s a chance of storms tonight.

    Avon beach had reports of spot, croaker and sea mullet.  Buxton and Frisco beaches had a few sea mullet to report.  Hatteras beach had pompano, sea mullet and flounder.

    The inshore boats caught red drum and bluefish.  They also caught gray trout and speckled trout, but released back due to being undersized.  Pictured below is Tightline Charters with a couple of kids that had a blast and caught a few puppy drum today.

    Fishing was a little slow for the offshore boats today.  There were a few catches of dolphin, wahoo and blackfin tuna.  There were a couple of sailfish and one blue marlin released today.  Pictured below is Marlin Mania with an awesome picture of a sailfish hooked up beside the boat today.
