• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Clear skies today made for a good day fishing. The temperature was in the upper 80’s with east winds at 5-10 mph.

    Up on the Avon beach some spot and sea mullet were caught.  On the Buxton beach some sea mullet, pompano and even a scattered puppy drum were caught.  Over on the Frisco beach at Ramp 49 the water was beautiful with  a few small pompano and sea mullet reported being caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach conditions were the same as Frisco with a few more fish.  Pompano, sea mullet, flounder and some puppy drum were all caught.

    The inshore puppy drum fishing on the Pamlico Sound was good today.

    The offshore boats had good catches of dolphin with scattered catches of black fin tuna and wahoo.  There were also some amber jacks and grouper caught too.  A few white marlin were released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy with temperatures it the lower 80’s. The wind today was North at 5-10 mph.

    In Avon today there were sea-mullet, flounder, spot, and croaker. in buxton the sea mullet and flounder were caught. On the Frisco beaches today there were some spot, and small pompano along with some small sharks. In Hatteras the big drum made an appearance along with the pompano, sea-mullet, croaker, and some bluefish.

    Inshore today the puppy drum, speckled trout, and blues were biting

    Offshore today fishing was good. From the bottom there were tilefish, sea-bass, triggerfish, and red snapper. The wahoo and dolphin bite was good today also. there were some citaion dolphin caught.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny in the morning and rain and thunderstorms moved in early in the afternoon..  We had south-west winds 5-10 mph and temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beach and Buxton beaches only some spot and sea mullet were reported.  Over on the Frisco beach at ramp 49 just a few sea mullet were reported.  Hatteras beach had reports of sea mullet, croaker and bluefish.

    The inshore boats had a decent morning before the rain and thunderstorms came.  There were puppy drum and speckled and gray trout reported.

    The offshore boats faced rough seas all day but were rewarded with lots of dolphin some nice citation wahoo and a few yellowfin tuna made a showing.  A sail fish and a blue marlin were released today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny.  We had south-west winds 10-20 mph and temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beach bluefish, spot, croaker and sea mullet were reported.  The Buxton beach had a few spanish mackerel, sea mullet, spot and pompano.  Over on the Frisco beach at ramp 49 a few sea mullet were reported.  Hatteras beach had reports of sea mullet, spot, croaker and bluefish.

    The inshore puppy drum fishing continues to be really good.  There were also bluefish caught.  The offshore fleet had limits of gaffer and bailer dolphin along with some citation  wahoo around the 41 lbs.  A few white marlin and sailfish were released.

    Today was partly sunny with calm winds.  We had south-east winds 5-10 mph and temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Avon beach had reports of croaker, bluefish and sea mullet.  Around the Buxton beach there were a few flounder, sheepshead and sea mullet reported.  Over on the Frisco beach at ramp 49 sea mullet and small pompano were reported today.  Hatteras beach had quite a variety with reports of sea mullet, spot, croaker and bluefish.

    The inshore puppy drum fishing was good today.  There were also speckled trout and gray trout caught.  The offshore fleet had another good catch of gaffer and bailer dolphin.  The wahoo fishing was pretty good too. A few sailfish were released today.
