    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was rainy all day with a slow-moving low pressure over us.  We had north-east winds 15-20 mph with gusts to 35 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

    Buxton beaches had reports of bluefish and puppy drum around the motels  All other beaches had no reports with the rough and rainy conditions.

    No boats fishing inshore or offshore with the weather being so rough.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy with a high of 82.  Winds were from the south at 15-25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

    Buxton beaches had reports of pompano, bluefish and black drum.  While on down in Frisco there were bluefish, spot and puppy drum.  At the end of the island in Hatteras, there are reports of puppy drum, pompano, bluefish and flounder.

    The inshore boats caught some red drum and bluefish today.  While the offshore boats had good catches of yellowfin tuna and wahoo, with a few blackfin tuna and dolphin mixed in.  There was also one sailfish release today.  The picture below is a sailfish caught on the Tuna Duck.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    We had clear skies today with winds from the south-south-east at 5 to 10 mph.  The temperatures were in the low 80’s  today.  We are still being affected by the Government Shut Down.

    Bluefish were reported at the Buxton beaches.  Frisco had reports of pompano.  Hatteras had puppy drum, pompano, flounder, bluefish and spot.

    The inshore boats had good catches of red drum, some bluefish and trout.  The offshore boats had real good catches of yellowfin tuna.  Good catches of blackfin tuna and dolphin, also a few wahoo.  There was 1 sailfish released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    We had clear skies today with winds from the south-west at 5 mph.  The temperatures were in the low 80’s  today.  We are still being affected by the Government Shut Down.

    On the Buxton beaches bluefish and croakers are being caught. Over on the Frisco beach pompano, bluefish and puppy drum were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beaches there were some bluefish,sea mullet and flounder reported.

    The boats fishing the Pamlico Sound had good catches of puppy drum and bluefish.

    The offshore boats had good fishing today.. Good dolphin and wahoo catches with a few yellowfin tuna and blackfin tuna fishing was excellent.  3 sail fish and a blue marlin were released today.

    On the Buxton beaches bluefish and a few puppy drum are being caught. Over on the Frisco beach  no report.  Down on the Hatteras beaches there were some bluefish and flounder reported.

    The boats fishing the Pamlico Sound had more good catches of puppy drum and bluefish.

    The offshore boats had a day just like the day before. Good dolphin and wahoo catches with a few yellowfin tuna and blackfin tuna caught.
