• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The weather was beautiful day. Sunny skies with temperatures in the upper 60’s dropping off to the lower 60’s in the afternoon. The wind was all over the place today. In the morning the winds started out 5-10mph North-West shifting to East-North-East around noon, and later in the coming around to South-South-West.

    Fishing Picked up a little today. Avon today there were report of Sea-Mullet, Spot, Croakers, and Blowtoads. The Bluefish were in Buxton today along with some Sea-Mullet. Also the Bluefish were in Frisco today. Hatteras today had reports of Blowtoads, Flounder, Bluefish, and Sea-Mullet.

    The inshore charters had reports of several Puppy Drum.

    Offshore today had a good catch of Dolphin Wahoo, Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna. the bottom fishing picked up. There were Triggerfish, Tilefish, and Groupers. There was also a white marlin released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The 31st Ocracoke Surf Fishing Tournament started today and the weather was sunny and winds were calm part of the day.  There were a some sea mullet and bluefish caught by most participants.  A few teams even caught some nice keeper size puppy drum.  Tomorrow is the final day of the Ocracoke Surf Fishing Tournament.  We hope everyone is having fun and staying safe.  Good Luck fishing.

    Today we had a heavy rain squall this morning at day break.  By sun up it was partly sunny.  The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.

    Today the only report of fish being caught was on the Buxton beaches and out at Cape Point.  Around the Jetties in Buxton some sea mullet, bluefish and puppy drum were caught.  Out at Cape Point there were big red drum caught this morning and this evening.

    There is no inshore or offshore report for today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Good Luck to all of the Ocracoke Surf Fishing Tournament participants this weekend.  Fishing starts Thursday morning through Friday afternoon.

    Today we had partly cloudy skies with some rain showers in the afternoon.  The winds were from the south-east at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

    Up on the Avon beach today there were a few puppy drum, blow toads and sea mullet caught. Around the Buxton beaches today there were reports of sea mullet and bluefish.  A few Big Red Drum were landing out at Cape Point in Buxton this evening.  The Frisco beach had reports of puppy drum, blow toads and sea mullet.  Down on the Hatteras beach there were bluefish, sea mullet and blow toads caught.

    The inshore boats had excellent catches of puppy drum today.  There is no offshore report for today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was warm with partly cloudy skies.  The winds were from the east south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

    On the Buxton beaches around the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Jetties there were reports of puppy drum and black drum caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton there were some bluefish caught.  Over on the Frisco Beach at Ramp 49 there were puppy drum caught along with a few speckled trout, sea mullet and flounder.

    There is no inshore report for today.

    The offshore boats had excellent catches of dolphin and a few blackfin tuna and some wahoo.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was cloudy with a high of 70F.  We had light east-north-east winds early this morning, which switched to the south-east and increased in the afternoon.

    Buxton had reports of black drum, puppy drum and flounder.  Ramp 49 had puppy drum, sea mullet and blow toads.  Hatteras had reports of sea mullets and blow toads.

    There is no inshore report for today.

    The offshore boats had good catches of dolphin, some wahoo and blackfin tuna.  A white marlin and sailfish were released today also.
