• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

We had partly sunny skies today with cooler temperatures.  The winds were out of the north-east early in the morning switching to the south-west by dark at 15-20 mph.  The temperatures were in the upper 60’s.

With the windy conditions fishing was a little slower today.  On the Buxton Beaches some sea mullet, spot and bluefish were reported.   Over on the Frisco Beach some sea mullet were caught.

The inshore boats had good action today even with the gusty winds.  The puppy drum bite was pretty good and there were some cobia caught too.   The picture below is from the charter boat “Hallelujah”  with their Cobia and some Drum they caught today around Hatteras Inlet.  Pretty work Captain Doug.
