• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny.  The temperatures were in the upper 80’s.  The wind was out of the east at 5 mph.

    Today on the Buxton beach bluefish, croaker and a few puppy drum were reported. Out at Cape Point bluefish and spansih mackerel were caught on lures, a few puppy drum were caught in the hook.  The Frisco beaches had reports of bluefish.  Hatteras had a variety of fish caught today.  Some pompano, spot, croaker, sea mullet, flounder and some puppy drum were reported.

    The inshore boats had puppy drum and bluefish caught in the Pamlico Sound.  The offshore fleet had real pretty weather with good yellowfin tuna with limits for the boats that fished up to the east and real good wahoo fishing.  A few dolphin and king mackerel were also caught.  The picture below is one of those boats that fished up that way.  The “Godspeed” charter boat limiting out on yellowfin tuna.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly sunny  with rain showers off and on.  The temperatures were in the upper 80’s.  The wind was out of the south-west at 10-20 mph, with gusts up to 34 mph.

    Today on the Buxton beach bluefish, croaker, spot and a few puppy drum were reported. Out at Cape Point, a few puppy drum and bluefish were caught.  The Frisco beaches had reports of sea mullet and puppy drum.  Hatteras had good bluefish catches and some sea mullet , spot and croakers.

    The inshore boats had  puppy drum and gray trout in the Pamlico Sound.  Only one boat out offshore today.  They had real good wahoo fishing and  a few dolphin and  some blackfin and yellowfin tuna.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny.  The temperatures were in the upper 80’s.  The wind was out of the west at 5-15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph.

    There were a some fish caught today, mostly bluefish.  Buxton and Frisco beaches had reports of bluefish.  Cape Point had a few puppy drum, along with some bluefish.  Hatteras had all the action.  They had bluefish, croaker, sea mullet and spot.

    The inshore boats had keeper puppy drum, gray trout and some spanish mackerel.  The offshore boats did not make it out today, due to winds.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny.  The temperatures were in the upper 80’s.  The wind was out of the south at 5-15 mph.

    There’s a few fish around for those here on Hatteras Island this Labor Day Weekend.  Buxton beaches had reports of bluefish, sea mullet, spot & croaker.  At the  Cape Point area, there were some puppy drum caught this afternoon.  People were catching them on lures and shrimp.  This evening, Cape Point had some bluefish and spanish mackerel.  Frisco beaches had reports of pompano, sea mullet and small bluefish.  Hatteras beaches reported croakers, spot, sea mullet and spanish mackerel.

    Inshore boats had their limits of red drum, with a few releases.

    Offshore boats brought in catches of yellowfin and blackfin tuna, and a few dolphin.  he wahoo catching was a little scattered today.  There were 4 blue marlin and 1 white marlin released today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny with higher temperatures.  The temperatures were in the low 90’s.  The wind was out of the south at 5-15 mph.

    Today we had some pretty good fishing.on the beaches  The Buxton beach had some puppy drum around the jetties and bluefish on lures out at Cape Point  today.  On the  Frisco beach some bluefish were reported. The Hatteras beaches had bluefish, sea mullet, spot and flounder caught.

    The inshore boats in the Pamlico Sound had more excellent catches of keeper puppy drum with a few speckled trout   The offshore boats had good dolphin, few wahoo and  blackfin and yellowfin tuna catches today.  4 blue marlin and a white marlin were released.
