• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was nice with mostly sunny skies.  The temperatures were in the mid 80’s.  The wind was out of the north-east at 5-15 mph.

    Today on the Buxton beach only some bluefish were reported.  Cape Point today, had some decent catches of bluefish on lures.  On the  Frisco beach some bluefish, pompano and flounder were reported around the Frisco Pier  The Hatteras beaches had bluefish and flounder caught.

    The inshore boats in the Pamlico Sound had good catches of keeper puppy drum with a few speckled and gray trout   The offshore boats had good dolphin, few wahoo and  blackfin tuna catches today.  A few king mackerel are starting to show up.  A blue marlin and a sailfish were released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny with a few rain showers early in the morning.  The temperatures were in the mid 80’s.  The wind was out of the north-east at 10-15 mph.

    Today on the Buxton beach some bluefish were caught.  Cape Point today, had more decent catches of bluefish on lures with a few puppy drum.  On the  Frisco beach some bluefish, pompano and sea mullet reported along with a few puppy drum.  The Hatteras beaches had puppy drum and bluefish caught.

    The inshore boats had catches of spanish mackerel and bluefish along the beaches again.  In the Pamlico Sound good catches of keeper puppy drum fishing with a few speckled and gray trout   The offshore boats had a few of wahoo, blackfin and yellowfin tuna today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny with temperatures in the mid 80’s.  The wind was out of the south-west at 10-20 mph.

    Today on the Buxton beach and Cape Point some good catches of sea mullets, puppy drum and bluefish were reported.  Out at Cape Point good spanish mackerel and bluefish were caught on lures in the late afternoon.  Just a  few jacks crevalle were caught   Frisco beaches had some bluefish and sea mullet reported.  The Hatteras beaches had puppy drum and bluefish caught.

    The inshore boats had catches of spanish mackerel and bluefish along the beaches.  In the Pamlico Sound another good day of keeper puppy drum fishing with a few speckled and gray trout   The offshore boats had good catches of wahoo and dolphin today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny with a temperature in the mid 80’s.  The wind was out of the south-west 5-10 mph increasing to 15-20 by the late afternoon..

    Today on the Buxton beach sea mullets and bluefish were caught.  Out at Cape Point a few spanish mackerel and bluefish were caught on lures.  Lots of jacks crevalle were hooked out at Cape Point also.   Frisco beaches had some bluefish and sea mullet reported.  Hatteras beaches had sea mullet, spot, croaker and bluefish.

    The inshore boats had good catches of spanish mackerel and bluefish along the beaches.  In the Pamlico Sound real good gray trout and keeper puppy drum fishing with a few speckled trout   The wahoo fishing is still really good offshore with many citations.  Some dolphin and blackfin tuna are in the mix too.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny with a temperature in the low 80’s.  The wind was out of the north,  around 5mph.

    This morning, in Buxton, at the jetties there was a 33 inch drum caught.  Out at Cape Point some keeper puppy drum and small flounder were caught on the north side.  Also, a 38 inch yearling drum was released.  Frisco beaches had some small bluefish and small flounder.  Hatteras beaches had sea mullet, spot, croaker and small bluefish.

    The inshore boats had catches of spanish mackerel, flounder and red drum.  The wahoo bite continues to be good offshore.  Some boats came back with their limit.  There were a few yellowfin tuna and dolphin as well.  Hatteras Blue released a white marlin and a sailfish.  There were triggerfish, sea bass and some snapper caught around the wrecks today also.
