• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had mostly sunny skies.  The winds were from the south-west at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s

    On the Buxton beaches the reports were a few puppy drum and black drum caught.  On the Frisco beaches there were black drum, puppy drum and some sea mullet reported.   Down on the Hatteras beaches bluefish, a few puppy drum and black drum were caught.

    The inshore boats had good cobia catches in the Pamlico Sound.  The spanish mackerel fishing was good along the beaches today.

    The offshore fleet had a rough and windy day with a few dolphin, blackfin and yellowfin tuna.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had more sunny skies.  The winds were from the south-west at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s

    On the Buxton beaches the reports were the same as yesterday, a few puppy drum and sea mullet caught.  On the Frisco beaches there were black drum, puppy drum and some sea mullet.   Down on the Hatteras beaches flounder, bluefish, a few puppy drum and pompano were caught.

    The inshore boats had good speckled trout and puppy drum.  A few bluefish and cobias are still being caught.

    The offshore fleet had decent catches of dolphin, a few blackfin tuna and wahoo.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s

    On the Buxton beaches there were a few puppy drum and sea mullet caught.  On the Frisco beaches the fishing was a little better with some sea mullet and croaker reported.  Down on the Hatteras beaches we had sea mullet, pompano and puppy drum .

    The inshore boats had good speckled trout and bluefish catches in the Pamlico Sound. There were several cobia caught too.

    The offshore fleet had really good gaffer dolphin fishing and a few yellowfin tuna and wahoo.    A white marlin and a sailfish were released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with a few light rain showers on parts of the island.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s

    On the Buxton and Frisco beaches the fishing was slow with some sharks and a few sea mullet.  Down on the Hatteras beaches there were flounder caught.  

    The inshore boats had good puppy drum catches and some speckled and gray trout with some bluefish in the Pamlico Sound. There were some cobia caught too. The Spanish mackerel bite was really good just off the beach.  

    The offshore fleet had really good gaffer and bailer dolphin fishing and a few yellowfin and black fin tuna and wahoo.   Only a few billfish released today.  A blue marlin and a sailfish were released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with some rain showers.  The winds were from the south at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s

    On the Buxton and Frisco beaches they caught sea mullet and pompano.  Down on the Hatteras beaches reports of sea mullet, pompano, spot and croaker.  The picture below is of Sandy Madre with a citation 2 lb 9 oz pompano caught on the Hatteras beach by ramp 55 today.  Pretty Work Sandy!!!

    The inshore boats had some catches of dolphin within 3 miles of the beach.  Some cobia and spanish mackerel were caught too.

    The offshore fleet had some pretty good gaffer dolphin fishing and a few yellowfin and black fin tuna.  The wahoo were scattered.  Lots of marlin action today.  12 white marlin, 5 blue marlin and 3 sailfish were released today from the Hatteras fleet.
