• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was clear with a high of 64F.  It was windy with winds out of the north at 20 to 30 mph.

    Despite the wind, there were fish caught today.  Buxton had puppy drum, spot, croaker and bluefish.  Cape Point had puppy drum, yearlings and a few big drum.  Frisco had a few puppy drum and sea mullet.  Hatteras beach reports bluefish, puppy drum, black drum and croakers.  The black drum and croakers were caught on shrimp.

    There’s no inshore report today.  Some offshore boats made it out, despite the wind and choppy seas.  There were good blackfin tuna catches, bailer dolphin, king mackerel and some albacore.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had partly cloudy skies with rain showers early in the morning.  The winds were out of the west at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.

    Today on the Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras beaches some scattered puppy drum were reported with the rougher beach conditions.  There was one big drum caught this evening out at Cape Point.  Some scattered catches of bluefish and flounder were reported on the Frisco and Hatteras beaches.

    The Inshore boats had some good puppy drum action.

    No boats out offshore today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had partly cloudy skies with rain showers..  We had south-west winds 5 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.

    Today on the Buxton and Frisco beaches only a few bluefish were caught.  Out at Cape Point some big drum were caught up to 44 inches.  Down on the Hatteras beaches flounder and bluefish were caught.

    No boats fished inshore or offshore today due to the rough and rainy weather.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with a few rain showers..  We had south-west winds 5 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.

    Today on the Buxton beaches a few puppy drum and flounder were reported.  On the Frisco beaches some flounder, blow toads and bluefish were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beaches small flounder, puppy drum and bluefish were caught.

    The inshore boats had pretty good puppy drum catches and some speckled trout.

    The offshore boats had excellent king mackerel fishing with several citations.  The blackfin tuna and wahoo fishing was good.  The picture below is the “Good Times” charter boat with a stud 90 lb wahoo caught live bait fishing today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had more sunshine and calm winds.  We had north-east winds 5 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

    Today on the Buxton beaches catches of puppy drum, bluefish and some small flounder and sea mullet were reported.  On the Frisco beaches a nice 18 in flounder was reported and a few puppy drum and bluefish.  Down on the Hatteras beaches small flounder, puppy drum and bluefish were caught.

    The inshore boats had pretty good puppy drum catches and real good speckled and gray trout.

    The offshore boats had excellent king mackerel fishing with several citations.  The dolphin and blackfin tuna fishing was good.
