• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was sunny.  We had north winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were around 70 degrees.

    Today was another beautiful day!  On the Buxton beaches we had reports of puppy drum, bluefish and some sea mullet.  On the Frisco and Hatteras beaches catches of puppy drum, bluefish, a few sea mullet, blow toads and pompano were reported.

    The inshore boats had puppy drum, gray and speckled trout.  The offshore boats had good king mackerel catches mostly by dead baiting, dolphin, blackfin tuna and a few wahoo.  The pictures below is some of the large king mackerel being caught aboard the “Godspeed” charter boat today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy.  We had a high of 65F with winds less than 5 mph.

    It was a beautiful day!  Buxton reports black drum and sheepshead around the jetties.  Also on the Buxton beaches were puppy drum and small bluefish.  Cape Point had reports of bluefish on metal and puppy drum on metal and bait.  Frisco beaches had reports of puppy drum, bluefish, a few sea mullet and pompano.  Hatteras had reports of small bluefish, a few flounder and puppy drum.  Pictured below is Francis Kennedy with his citation pompano, caught at Ramp 49.  This pompano weighed 3lb 12 1/2 oz.

    The inshore boats had a few puppy drum, flounder, lots of gray trout, bluefish and blow toads.  The offshore boats had limits of king mackerel, dolphin and a few wahoo.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was partly cloudy this morning, then clear.  We had a high of 64F with winds fro the west-north-west at 5 to 20 mph.

    Buxton reports puppy drum, blow toads, sea mullet croaker and spot.  Cape Point caught bluefish and puppy drum most of the day.  This evening puppy drum and yearling size drum were caught.  Frisco beach reports puppy drum.  Hatteras beach reports pompano, flounder, black drum, bluefish and puppy drum.

    There were no inshore boat out today.  The offshore boats caught triggerfish and a few wahoo.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was nice and sunny.  We had north winds at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 60’s.

    On the Buxton beaches some puppy drum, a few bluefish and croaker were reported. Out at Cape Point a few puppy drum and yearling drum were caught.  Over on the Frisco beach croaker, sea mullet and puppy drum were reported.  On the Hatteras beaches catches of flounder, puppy drum, bluefish and croaker were reported.

    The inshore boats caught puppy drum again today in the Pamlico Sound.

    The offshore boats had good dolphin catches, several citation wahoo and good blackfin and yellowfin tuna catches.  Bottom fishing for trigger fish today was good.

    Today was partly sunny.  We had north winds at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 50’s.

    On the Buxton beaches good puppy drum catches, a few bluefish and sea mullet were reported. Out at Cape Point some puppy drum were caught.  Over on the Frisco beach croaker, sea mullet and a few puppy drum were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beaches catches of flounder, puppy drum, bluefish and croaker were caught.

    The inshore boats caught puppy drum today in the Pamlico Sound.

    The offshore boats had good wahoo and yellowfin tuna fishing with a few dolphin.
