• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies and crystal clear water all day.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s  

    On the Buxton beach there were pompano, bluefish and sea mullet caught.  Out at Cape Point the spanish mackerel fishing was really good on lures as well as a few bluefish.  On the Frisco beach sea mullet and pompano were caught.  The Hatteras beaches had bluefish, croaker, flounder, pompano and spot reported.

    The inshore boats had good puppy drum and speckled trout fishing with a few gray trout caught in the Pamlico Sound. The spanish mackerel and bleufish were biting along the beaches near shore.  The offshore boats had good dolphin and excellent citation wahoo catches and a few king mackerel and blackfin tuna.  One sailfish was released.  Below is the “Whatever” charter boat with their catch today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had mostly sunny skies and nice northerly winds all day.  The winds were from the north-east at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s  

    On the Buxton and Frisco beaches there were some sea mullet caught.  The Hatteras beaches had reports of bluefish, flounder, and  pompano.

    The inshore boats had some speckled and gray trout caught in the Pamlico Sound. The bluefish and spanish mackerel fishing was good.  The offshore boats had a few dolphin and excellent wahoo catches and a few blackfin tuna.

    Today we had mostly sunny skies all day.  The winds were from the north-west switching to the north-east at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s  

    On the Buxton beach there were pompano, bluefish and a few puppy drum caught.  Out at Cape Point the bluefish were biting well on lures.  On the Frisco beach sea mullet and croakers were caught.  The Hatteras beaches had reports of bluefish, croaker, flounder, pompano and spot.

    The inshore boats had good puppy drum fishing and some speckled trout caught in the Pamlico Sound. The offshore boats had good dolphin and wahoo catches and a few king mackerel.

    Today we had  sunny skies all day.  The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s  

    On the Buxton and Frisco beach sea mullet and croakers were caught.  The Hatteras beaches had reports of bluefish, croaker and spot.

    The inshore boats had good puppy drum fishing today with some bluefish, speckled and gray trout caught in the Pamlico Sound. The offshore boats had good gaffer dolphin catches and scattered wahoo and king mackerel.  One white marlin and 4 sailfish were released today.

    Today was sunny all day.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s  

    On the Buxton sea mullet and bluefish reported.  Over on the Frisco beach some sea mullet were reported.   The Hatteras beaches had some flounder, bluefish, croaker, spot and a few puppy drum caught.

    The inshore boats had excellent puppy drum fishing today.  Some big red drum citation’s were recorded and bluefish, speckled and gray trout were caught in the Pamlico Sound.   The boats along the beaches caught bluefish and spanish mackerel.   The offshore boats had some wahoo and dolphin catches.  There were scattered black fin and yellowfin tuna reported.  One blue marlin was released today.
