• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was mostly sunny but a few hard rain showers moved through in the afternoon.  We had north-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.  Today on the Avon beach some sea mullet, small puppy drum and bluefish were reported.  Around the Buxton beaches the small puppy drum, bluefish and some flounder were caught.  Over on the Frisco beach there were small puppy drum, some pompano and sea mullet caught.  The Hatteras beaches had spot, bluefish, small puppy drum and a few flounder.  The inshore boats had a good day.  They caught bluefish, puppy drum, speckled trout, flounder and the big red drum were spotted.  The offshore boats had good wahoo catches, the “Hatteras Fever II” charter boat had 15, a few dolphin, blackfin tuna and some grouper.  One sailfish was released today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was once again nice, sunny and cool today.  We had north-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.  Up on the Avon beach some spot, sea mullet and a few flounder were caught.  Out at Cape Point some nice bluefish and small puppy drum caught on cut mullet and spot and sea mullet caught on blood worms and sand flees.  The spanish mackerel and bluefish did hit lures in the afternoon.  Over on the Frisco beach there were some small puppy drum, one guy caught one with a red tag that was around 15 inches.  There were also some sea mullet and bluefish caught.  The Hatteras beach had a good amount of small puppy drum, some flounder, sea mullet, spot and bluefish.  Out on the sound side from Avon to Hatteras we have customers catching good amounts flounder using the Berkley Gulp swimming mullet in pearl white.  The inshore boats had a good day catching nice spanish mackerel and bluefish just outside Hatteras Inlet.  Inside the inlet in the Pamlico Sound the speckled and gray trout and bluefish bite was really good with some flounder mixed in.  The offshore boats had a better day today with good wahoo, decent dolphin and some nice blackfin tuna.  One sailfish was released.  The king mackerel are starting to show up and the trigger fish bite was real good today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    We hope everyone took a moment today to remember all the brave men and women who lost their lives on 9/11/2001.

    The Weather in Frisco was nice, sunny and cool again today.  We had north-east winds 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in upper 70’s.  Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches there were some spot, sea mullet, bluefish and small puppy drum caught.  Out at Cape Point the small puppy drum bite was really good.  Some citation sea mullet were also caught there along with a few bluefish and pompano.  The Frisco beach had catches of sea mullet, bluefish and pompano.  Down around Hatteras there were some bluefish, small puppy drum and sea mullet reported.  The inshore boats caught some gray and speckled trout, a few bluefish and big red drum.  The offshore boats had a slow day with a few dolphin, wahoo and blackfin tuna.  Some grouper and trigger fish were caught from the bottom.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was nice, sunny and much cooler today.  We had north winds 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.  The swell from Leslie has dropped considerably. The Avon beaches caught some sea mullet, pompano, small puppy drum and bluefish.  Out at Cape Point there were some small puppy drum, sea mullet, pompano a pretty good numbers of bluefish and some rays caught.  The Frisco beach had reports of bluefish and a few sea mullet.  Down on the Hatteras beach there were some sea mullet, pompano, spot, small puppy drum, a few bluefish and spanish mackerel.  The best inshore action today were the big red drum being caught in and around Hatteras Inlet.  The offshore boats had another good day of wahoo fishing with a few dolphin and blackfin tuna being caught.  One sailfish was released.  One of the “Godspeed” charter boats wahoo pictured below.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was rainy early and overcast the rest of the day.  We had north-east winds 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.  The Avon beach had a few small puppy drum and bluefish.  Out at Cape Point a few bluefish, spanish mackerel, spot and flounder were reported.  The Frisco beach had a few bluefish and sea mullet.  The Hatteras beaches had bluefish, spot, small puppy drum and flounder.  Only a few boats fishing inshore today and they caught some small founder, speckled and gray trout.  Only s few boats fishing offshore today too.  They had pretty good wahoo fishing and a few dolphin and grouper.
