The Weather in Frisco was rainy in the morning, with partly sunny skies the rest of the day.  We had south-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.  With the light winds the water has been clear.  On the Buxton beach some nice sea mullet were caught.  Over on the Frisco beach a few pompano and some decent size sea mullet.  The inshore fishing was pretty good.  Real good spanish mackerel and bluefish.  The Pamlico Sound had some good speckled trout catches.  The offshore fishing was slow today.  Only a few dolphin, wahoo and blackfin tuna.  There were some triggerfish and groupers brought up from the bottom.  The bill fishing was better today.  One white marlin and four sailfish released from the charter fleet.  Below is the catch from Clinton Osterbind and family.  From left to right: Clinton,Ellen,Joey and Michael. The Wahoo’s were 17 and 22 lbs and Michael caught the skipjack.  Pretty work guys.

The second day of the Hatteras Grand Slam Billfish Tournament ended today.  There were two white marlin and six sailfish released in the tournament.  There are no changes in the leader board.  Tomorrow is the last day.
