• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    Another windy and warm day.  We had sunny skies and south-west winds 15-20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.  Fishing was pretty good today.  The sea mullet and blow toad fishing was pretty good from all beaches,  Avon, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras.  The Frisco beach had a run of bluefish.  The spanish mackerel showed up at Hatteras as far south as you can drive, also some bluefish were mixed in.  The Inshore boats had real good black drum fishing.  The big red drum were also reported.  No boats fished offshore today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    We had warm and sunny skies today.  The winds were from the south-west at 15-20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.  On the Avon pier today some sea mullet and blow toads were caught pretty good.  A few bluefish were also reported there.  With the south-west winds blowing the big drum made another showing at Cape Point today.  Around the Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras beaches there were blow toads, sea mullet and croakers caught.  A report of some pompano caught on the Buxton beaches as well.  With the weather offshore being  so rough no boats fished.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    Today was sunny but windy.  We had south-west winds 15-20 mph and the temperatures were around 70 degrees.  Well the south-west winds brought the big drum to Cape Point this afternoon.  You can access the Cape by walking in the water around the signs.  The blow toad and sea mullet bite is still on up and down the Frisco and Hatteras beaches.  The inshore boats caught some bluefish today.  The offshore fishing was pretty rough today, but they caught fish.  Some boats caught good numbers of blackfin tuna and a few yellowfin tuna.  Some Wahoo were also caught.  The boats fishing to the southern had good dolphin fishing.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    Today was sunny and windy.  We had south-west winds 15-20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.  The Buxton and Avon beaches have been more productive.  Some sea mullet and croakers have been caught, along with blow toads and a few bluefish.  The Frisco beach was producing good amounts of bluefish reported by one customer.  The blow toads and sea mullet were caught pretty good from the Frisco and Hatteras beaches.  The big drum are still being caught just outside Hatteras Inlet from the inshore charters.  The spanish mackerel and albacore have been caught further south from Hatteras.  The offshore fishing was pretty good today.  Some nice wahoo were caught, the biggest was a citation at 41 lbs.  A few boats had a real good dolphin catches and a few yellowfin and blackfin tunas.  Good bottom fishing today as well.  Vermilion snappers, triggerfish and golden tilefish were all caught.   One white marlin was released by the “Tuna Duck”.  The picture below is from the “Tuna Duck” today.  A pretty cool shot of the white marlin jumping.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    Today was mostly sunny.  We had north-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s.  Around the Buxton beaches blow toads and sea mullet were caught, along with a few croaker. The Frisco and Hatteras beaches had blow toads and good bluefish.  The inshore boats caught some spanish mackerel and albacore.  The offshore fishing was a little slow but some quality fish were caught.  Some boats had a mix bag of wahoo, some citation size, dolphin and blackfin tuna, also some citation size.  A couple of boats really caught the wahoos that went way south south-east.  One boat had good success with tilefish and amberjack on the bottom.  Below is a good picture of a kid and his dolphin aboard the “Godspeed”.
