Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island: Today was sunny and one of the warmer days lately. We had light south-east winds 10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s. The beach fishing was about the same today as it has been. Lots of blow toads on the south side of Cape Point and the Frisco and Hatteras beaches. A few sea mullet and skates were also caught on the southern beaches. Offshore fishing was pretty good today. A good catch of blackfin tuna, a few dolphin and some wahoo were caught today. One boat went way up the line and caught a nice mess of yellowfin tuna. Below is a decent catch from aboard the “Bite Me” today.

Today was foggy early in the morning again. The sun came out by mid morning and the winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph with the temperatures in the low 70’s. Out on the Buxton beach, Cape Point and the Frisco and Hatteras beaches the blow toads were thick, but a lot were on the small side. Some bluefish and sea mullet were caught on the south beach today. Offshore fishing was pretty good today. Lots of blackfin tuna and a handful of wahoo’s.

Hatteras Island Fishing Report
Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:
Today started out foggy and cool. The winds this morning were light out of the north-east and the temperatures were in the low 50’s. By mid morning the sun came out and winds were from the north at 5-10 mph with the temperatures in the upper 60’s. The blow toad fishing continue to be excellent at all beach locations. There were some scattered catches of sea mullet and bluefish at Cape Point and the Frisco beach. The Offshore fishing was pretty good today. Blackfin tuna’s were biting good on the vertical jigs, some citations were caught. The amber jacks were hitting the jigs well too. A few dolphin, wahoo and king mackerel were caught. If you want some guaranteed jigging action these amber jacks will not disappoint. Below is amber jack jigging aboard the “Bite Me” charter boat.

St Patrick’s Day Hatteras Island Fishing Report
Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:
Happy St Patrick’s Day!!! Today the sun was out and the winds were calm. We had light south-west winds most of the day at 10 mph and the temperatures were around 70 degrees. A front rolled in and the winds switched to the north-east at 10-15 mph and the temperatures dropped to the upper 50’s. Still lots of blow toads and a few sea mullet at Cape Point and the Frisco and Hatteras beaches. A couple of big drum reported last night at Cape Point. Offshore fishing was real good today. One boat went way east looking for the bluefin tuna and they found them. Two were caught on top water poppers and one came back to the dock. Closer to home the blackfin tuna and dolphin fishing was really good. Below is a nice gaffer dolphin caught today aboard the “Godspeed” boat.
