Here is your Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Well the wind and rain is still here on Hatteras Island.  We had north-east winds 20-30 mph and temperatures in the mid 70’s.  Our first sign of visitors have arrived.  They had to brave the long drive, then the long ferry ride in rough waters of the Pamlico Sound.  Everyone we talked too were happy to be here and we are sure happy to see them.  One guy I talked too said he would be happy with 3 days of good weather to go fishing.  I think he might get that, maybe 4 days.  It was way too rough for any type of fishing, so there is no report.  Check us out at friscorodandgun.com for online shopping and all of your fishing needs.

Here is your Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

The weather has been so nice here on Hatteras Island since Hurricane Irene, but today it made a turn for the windy and overcast.  North-east winds today 20- 30 mph and temperatures were in the low 70’s.  Not much to report on the fishing front.  Nor- easters make fishing tough.  We did have a few guys go out and try some surf fishing but all the came back with were some drift wood, a decoy and some sea shells. The winds should drop out my Sunday they say.  We are hoping for a nice week for all of our visitors that have come on such a long-delayed route to get here.   We hope you stop in to see us and visit our new website with online shopping at friscorodandgun.com.

    Thank You

Here is your Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today on Hatteras Island the weather was sunny and warm with light south-west winds at 5 mph and high temperatures in the mid 80’s. Out at Cape Point there are still spanish mackerel and bluefish being caught.  The Frisco beach had some decent swells from Tropical Storm Maria so fishing was slow.  We only had some small bluefish reported.  Down around the Inlet at Hatteras there were some decent bluefish caught.  Inshore the gray and speckled trout fishing was good.  There were lots of 4 and 5 lb bluefish caught too. Nothing from the gulf stream yet.  Hopefully this weekend.
