• Outer Banks Fishing Report 11-15

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    Today was warm and sunny.  We had plenty of sunshine and light south-west winds around 10 mph and the temperatures around 70 F.  The Buxton beach speckled trout bite was a little slower today.   Cape Point had bluefish, sharks and skates today.  Down on the Frisco Beach there were lots of blow toads and some black drum with a few bluefish mixed in.  The offshore fishing continues to be really good.  Limits of king mackerel and good blackfin and yellowfin tuna.

  • Outer Banks Fishing Report 11-14

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    Today was beautiful with sunny skies and light winds.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in  the mid 60’s.  On the Buxton beach today there were a few sea mullet, black drum and some speckled trout.  The Frisco beach had some bluefish, black drum and a few flounder.  No reports from the Hatteras Beach.  Offshore fishing today was once again really good.  Nice citation wahoo’s caught in the 40 to 81 lbs class.  Excellent king mackerel and a few dolphin and yellowfin tuna were caught.

    The Berkley Gulp Swimming Mullet is an excellent choice for catching speckled trout or puppy drum in the surf.  Flounder like the white swimming mullet the best.

  • Outer Banks Fishing Report 11-13

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The weather was beautiful today.  We had light south-west winds at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 60’s.  Down on the Buxton beach there were some small speckled trout and a few keeper size caught.  The Frisco beach was slow with some small bluefish being caught.  Down on the Hatteras beaches and the Inlet we had reports of bluefish and some nice flounder.  The offshore fishing report was really good.  Lots of citation wahoo form 40 lbs to 65 lbs.  Pretty good yellowfin tuna fishing and  a few dolphin.  One Blue Marlin was released on the “Bite Me”.

  • Outer Banks Fishing Report 11-12

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    A little cool in the morning but warmed up by noon.  We had sunny skies and light north-west winds 5 mph switching to the south-west at 5-10 mph.  The temperatures were around 41 degrees this morning and the high was 55 degrees.  The north beach still has some grass and no one has reported any fish.  On the south beach in the Hook and down towards the Frisco Beach there were a few puppy drum and a fair amount of small bluefish.  Down at Hatteras Inlet a few bluefish were caught.  Offshore the fishing was really good.  Excellent wahoo fishing, real good yellowfin tuna, a few blackfin tuna and dolphin and multiple billfish spotted and a few caught.  One sailfish and a couple of white marlin were released.  Other sailfish, white marlin and some blue marlin spotted.

  • Outer Banks Fishing Report 11-11

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    We would like to thank all of our Veterans for you service to this great nation.  Thank You!!!

    Todays weather was windy and cool.  We had north-west winds 15-25 mph and the temperatures were in the low 50’s, turning colder tonight in the low 40’s.  Up on the Avon beach there were some black drum caught.  Nothing to report from Cape Point or the Frisco beach.  Down at Hatteras Inlet there were some nice catches of puppy drum and a couple of black drum.  No boats fishing today due to windy weather.  Duck season starts tomorrow.  November the 12th- December 3rd, December 17- January 28th.
