We also had clear sunny skies throughout the day, except for early on this morning when we had a small thunderstorm.Beach Fishing was great today.  We had pompano, sea mullet, bluefish, spanish mackerel, spot, and one 26″ puppy drum. Here is your Outer Banks fishing report for Hatteras Island:

Thunderstorms finally hit this morning. Temperatures were in the low 80’s and the wind was blowing out of the SW 10-15 mph. Tomorrow the weather is supposed to clear up with the wind blowing NE 10-15 mph.

Beach fishing was extremely slow today due to bad weather. No fish were reported. Current was too rough for 6 oz to hold bottom according to one fisherman.

Inshore Charter guides also had a slow day. A total of 7 speckled trout were caught and only 1 keeper in the mix.

Offshore Charters had a scrappy day as the ocean was chopped up today. 1 Sailfish was released by the Sea Creature. Also reports of good gaffer and bailer dolphin were spoken of out of Hatteras Harbor Marina.

With the wind switching to the north tomorrow expectations are higher than that of today. Hopefully the water will clear up as it had the other day and big pompano and Sea Mullet will show right back up.
