• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was sunny and cool.  We had north-west winds at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 40’s.  It’s supposed to be in the low 30’s tonight and back in the mid 50’s tomorrow.  Cape Point had a few puppy drum mixed in with the dog sharks and skates.  One boat out offshore today.  The “Godspeed” caught a few wahoo and that about it.

The Cape Hatteras Access Preservation Alliance (CHAPA) today filed suit challenging the National Park Service’s issuance of a new management plan and special rule regulating off-road vehicle use at Cape Hatteras National Seashore Recreational Area.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was mostly sunny in the morning with a few hard showers in the afternoon.  We had north north-east winds 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 50’s.  The fishing from the surf is just not happening.  Although the sharks are still biting around Cape Point.  Now, offshore fishing was still slow but  the “Godspeed” charter boat out of Hatteras Harbor Marina found  themselves a estimated 250 lb blue marlin instead of the bluefin tunas they were targeting.  Pretty work guys.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was mostly sunny.  The winds were from the north-east at 8-12 mph and the temperatures were around 50 degrees.  Not to much to report today.   I did hear of some blow toads on the south beach.  I am not sure where exactly.  No boats went offshore today.  A charter boat the “Drum Stick” out of Ocracoke caught a blue marlin yesterday.  It not uncommon for a few blue marlin to be caught this time of year.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report 2-5

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was windy and rainy early.  We had north winds 15-20 mph and some showers in the morning.  The temperatures were in the low 50’s.  With the rain this morning and the super bowl on this afternoon, early evening I do not think anyone fished.  I have no reports from the surf and no one went out offshore today.  With the reports of striped bass around Oregon Inlet and the north winds we have now and will have for most of the week,  it might be worth the trip to fish the Pea Island area or maybe even the beaches north of Avon.  There have been some speckled trout caught north of Avon off and on most of the winter also.
