• Outer Banks Fishing Report 12-22

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    Today was warm again.  We had south-west winds at 15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 60’s.  The winds are supposed to switch to the north tomorrow afternoon and cool down tomorrow night.  The only fishing reports I have were some scattered speckled trout up and down the Frisco Beach.  On the offshore front the black fin tuna fishing is still really good.  A few yellow fin tuna mixed in.

  • Outer Banks Fishing Report 12-21

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    Today was partly sunny with scattered light rain.  The winds were from the south-west at 15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 60’s.  No reports of fish being caught on any beach.  Although the big talk were lots birds working off Cape Point, so we can hope for something good under them.  Maybe bluefish or drum. It would be nice  to have the striper show back up this year. No boats fishing offshore today.  There has been good blackfin tuna fishing the past days boats have fished.  A few boats are fishing tomorrow so I’ll have a report.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    Today was mostly sunny with periods of clouds.  The winds were from the west switching to the south-west in the late afternoon and the temperatures were in the upper 50’s.  nothing much to report, only a  few speckled trout on the Buxton beach.  There were no boats fishing offshore today.

  • Outer Banks Fishing Report 12-19

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    Today was sunny and calm.  We had north-west winds 5 mph and the temperatures were in the low 50’s.  This afternoon and evening the winds have switched to the south-west at 10-15 mph.  With the south-west winds the air temperatures are supposed to be in the upper 50’s tomorrow.  The only reports of fish being caught are some speckled trout on the Buxton beaches and sharks and skates at Cape Point.  The offshore black fin tuna bite continues to be excellent, mostly vertical jigging.  Some nice wahoos being caught and king mackerel of a smaller class.

  • Outer Banks Fishing Report 12-18

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    Today was mostly sunny and cool.  We had north-west winds at 8-12 mph and the temperatures were in the low 40’s  Tonight is supposed to be in the mid 30’s for the low.  There is not to much to report today from the beaches.  Only some sharks and skates at Cape Point south to Frisco.  One boat fishing offshore today.  They caught a few gaffer dolphin and some nice size black fin tuna.
