• Outer Banks Fishing Report 12-13

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    Today was sunny and cool.  We had north winds at 12 mph and the temperatures were in the low 50’s.  Not much on the fishing front.  There was a scattered speckled trout caught on the Buxton beaches.  There are still dog sharks being caught at Cape Point.  No reports from the Frisco beach. No boats out today either.

  • Outer Banks Fishing Report 12-12

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    Today was nice and sunny.  We had north-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 50’s.  Cape Point is still producing nice catches of sharks.  The only fish caught today were in the hook and down the Frisco Beach.  Some sea mullet and blow toads reported.   No boats fishing today.

  • The 2011 Annual Hatteras Christmas Parade

    Today we participated in the 2011 Annual Hatteras Christmas Parade for the first time.  We are sure glad we did.  There was a lot of fun had by all.  Our Frisco Rod and Gun float was combined with Piney Ridge Boat Works, owned by Natalie’s husband Jay Kavanagh and Jay’s Dad Big Dan.  Our float was Piney Ridge Boat Works latest build Hull #3.  The Nimrod 21.  A  21′ Cold Molded Custom Skiff  built for duck hunting in the Pamlico Sound.  It was towed by Capt. Jay and riding in the back throwing Christmas themed rubber ducks and tootise rolls were Susie, Natalie, Joe,  Big Dan, Regina, the pups Gypsy and  Maybelle and me Kyle.  Every year the Hatteras Civic Association  puts on this parade to celebrate Christmas and raise money for local charities.  Thank You to everyone who came out to support the community.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    Today was sunny and windy.  We had north-east winds at 15-20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 50’s.  It was pretty rough on the Buxton beaches today.  No one fishing.  Cape Point was slow but there were sharks being caught.  On the Frisco and Hatteras beaches there were a few sea mullet and black drum caught.  No boats fishing today.

  • Outer Banks Fishing Report 12-10

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    Today was windy and cool.   The winds were blowing pretty good out of the north-east at 15-25 mph and the temperatures were right around 50 degrees.  Fishing today was not to good unless you were dog sharking at Cape Point.   One boat fished offshore today.  They had real good catches of king mackerel.
