Outer Banks Fishing Report 1-5

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was nice and sunny but still cool. We had west north-west winds 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid to upper 40’s. The weekend still looks good with temperatures in the upper 50’s and maybe breaking 60 degrees. Slow fishing today. There are still a scattered speckled trout being caught on the Buxton beach. No boats out today. There are a few boats going offshore tomorrow looking for the blue fin tuna that are heading down the coast to visit us. They have been off the Virginia coast recently and with the temperatures drop and some cooler water moving down this could be the start of the bluefin season. Lets hope so.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was cold. We had north-west winds 15-25 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 20’s early this morning. By mid day the temperatures were in the upper 30’s. Fishing was slow today, we have nothing to report. No boats out today. The forecast for the weekend looks good, Temperatures in the low 60’s.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was cold and windy. We had north-west winds 20-30 mph and the temperatures were in the mid to upper 30’s . Tonight will be windy and well below freezing at 25 degrees. I have no reports of fish being caught. Maybe towards the end of the week when the weather calms a little. No boats out today either.

Outer Banks Fishing Report 1-2

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was sunny and cool. We had west-north west winds at 15-20 mph and the temperatures were in the mid to upper 40’s. Tonight is supposed to drop to the low 30’s with a chance of snow flurries. Fishing on the north beach today was pretty good. We had reports of nice speckled trout and puppy drum around Buxton. We weighed one specked trout that was 2 lbs 3 ozs. No boats out today.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

New Years Day was another warm day. We had south-west winds at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 60’s. Tomorrow will be cooler and the winds will pickup from the north-west at 15-25 mph and the temperatures will drop to the mid 40’s and then to the mid 30’s in the evening. At Cape Point the dog sharks and skates are still hitting really good. There were scattered speckled trout being caught this morning along the Buxton beaches. No boats out today.
