Here is your Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

The Rain has stopped, at least for now.  This morning it rained pretty good, but by noon it was all gone.  The winds were calm from the south and temperatures were in the upper 70’s.  At Cape Point the bluefish and spanish mackerel were biting pretty good on lures.  On the Frisco beach the bluefish were hitting on finger mullet.  The inshore boats are still catching the puppy drum and speckled trout really good.  Out in gulf stream, limits of wahoo are being caught and lots of blackfin tuna too.

Well it was raining off and on today.  The winds were calm and the temperatures were around 80 F.  On the south side of Cape Point a 43 inch red drum was caught this morning.  There were bluefish, pompano, and black drum reported there too.  Finger mullets are running on the beaches, so that’s the bait of choice for the drum and bluefish.  No boats out again today.

Well it rained all day.  The winds were light out of the south at 10 mph and temperatures were in the mid 70’s.  A few people fished Cape Point and caught some drum over the slot limit of 27″.   That’s about all I know from the beach.  No Inshore boats fished today.  The Offshore fleet had two boats out today. It rained on them the whole time but they caught fish.  A few nice size dolphin and wahoo, some yellowfin and excellent blackfin tuna.  There were 2 sailfish released by the “Godspeed”.
