Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was sunny with light winds. The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.
Today there were spot, sea mullet and pompano caught from Avon, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras beaches. A few puppy drum and flounder were reported down at Hatteras Inlet. Out at Cape Point there was a lot of action with bluefish, spanish mackerel, false albacore being caught on lures.
The inshore boats caught gray trout and puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound. Just outside Hatteras Inlet there were spanish mackerel and bluefish caught. The picture below is Aladtar Damamitio with another sheepshead, this one 11 lbs speared out in the Pamlico Sound around the trees.
The offshore boats had a pretty good day with nice weather. There were decent catches of wahoo and dolphin. The bottom fishing was good with a big variety consisting of Triggerfish, Vermillion Snapper, Red Mouth Grunts, and Sand Tilefish.
