Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had scattered rain showers.  The winds were from the west south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

Up on the Avon beaches there were sea mullet and spot caught..  The Buxton beaches had some reports of some bluefish.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton the spanish mackerel and bluefish bite was decent.   The Frisco beach over Ramp 49 had reports of bluefish catches and sea mullet and some decent pompano.   Down on the Hatteras beaches and near the inlet there were good bluefish catches and a few flounder and sea mullet reported.

The inshore boats had more good puppy drum action and some sheeps head in the Pamlico Sound.  The pictures below are Alastar Damamitio with a 6 lb 4 oz Sheepshead speared under one of the many trees washed out in the Pamlico Sound today and Aaron Vittorini with a nice puppy drum caught in the Pamlico Sound today.

The offshore boats had just a few boats out and they caught a few dolphin and wahoo.
