Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

The weather was great today with the temp in the lower 80’s and southwest winds at 5-10mph. In the afternoon there was a scattered shower but nothing to mess up any fishing time.

From the beach the fishing was really good. In Avon there was sea-mullet, spanish, bluefish. In Buxton the pompano are still biting along with bluefish and spanish. In Frisco the bluefish and sea-mullet were biting. Hatteras had reports of bluefish, spanish, and sea-mullet.

Inshore the speckled and grey trout were biting good. The drum fishing was really good with boats seeing large schools. Some schools had 100+ fish.

David Waterfield of Buxton caught this nice keeper drum in the sound tonight. Pretty work.
