Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had sunny skies with light winds. The winds were from the north-west switching to the south-west at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.
Today there were sea mullet , croakers and bluefish from the Avon beaches. A few bluefish and pompano around the Buxton beaches. Out at Cape Point lots of bluefish were caught along with a bunch of tarpon spotted. The Frisco beach had a few bluefish and some nice puppy drum catches by Francis Kennedy who is pictured below with a nice 27 incher. He released a 32 and 33 in drum. Pretty work Francis.
On the Hatteras beaches some puppy drum, bluefish and flounder were reported.
The inshore boats caught good numbers of puppy drum and yearling drum today in the Pamlico Sound. The spanish mackerel and bluefish bite was good just outside Hatteras Inlet.
The offshore boats had scattered catches of wahoo and dolphin. The bottom fishing was good with Triggerfish, Tilefish and B-liners..
