Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was mostly sunny.  We had south-west winds 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 60’s.  Cape Point seemed to be the most productive today.  One customer came in and said they were catching croakers using Fish Bite Bloodworms.  Some blow toads and sea mullet were reported up and down the Frisco and Hatteras beaches.  The offshore wahoo fishing continues to be excellent.   A good blackfin tuna bite with a handful of yellowfin tunas and a dolphin were also part of today’s catch.  Below the “Godspeed ” charter boat hammers the wahoos again today.  They caught six out of twelve or so bites along with a mess of blackfin tuna and a gaffer dolphin.

These Fish Bites Bloodworms are a great bait for the small bottom feeders like the sea mullet, blow toads, croakers, spot and pompano.  The fake bloodworm scent is pressed on a mesh to give it excellent holding power.  Another thing that is great, you can leave it in your tackle box all year, so you will always have it when you need it.
