Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

The Weather in Frisco was sunny today.  We had south-west winds 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.  On the Buxton beach some spot, sea mullet and bluefish reported.  Out at Cape Point there were spanish mackerel and bluefish caught off lures.  The sharks are still thick out there too.  The sea mullet and pompano fishing is still pretty good on the Frisco and Hatteras beach.  The inshore boats had a good day of spanish mackerel and bluefish.  A few red drum and speckled and gray trout were caught in the Pamlico sound. The offshore dolphin fishing was really good and so were the wahoo.  Some nice grouper and sea bass were caught too.

The St Croix Mojo Surf series is one of the best rods you can buy for casting lures to the spanish mackerel and bluefish.  Now there is no better time to get a St Croix Mojo Surf Rod since Cape Point is open..
