Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island: The Weather in Frisco was sunny and nice today.  We had north-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s.  The swell from tropical storm Rafael is causing some difficult fishing conditions but fish are still being caught.

Bluefish and spot were reported on the Avon beach.  The Buxton beaches had good bluefish and some flounder.  Out at Cape Point the bluefish bite was pretty good today.   On the Frisco and Hatteras beach lots of bluefish were reported along with some puppy drum and flounder.

The inshore boats had real good gray and speckled trout fishing.  Some good flounder and lots of bluefish being caught.  A few boats made it offshore today and they had a few wahoo, dolphin and scattered blackfin tuna.  3 sailfish were released.
