Hatteras Island Hurricane Sandy and Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Hurricane Sandy Weather and Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

The weather in Frisco today was partly sunny with cooler temperatures.  We had west winds 15-25 mph and some gust were around 39 mph.  Early this evening the winds dropped out to 10-15 mph.  There were some fish caught today.  A decent amount of puppy drum just down from Avon Pier and a few on the Frisco beach were reported.  The current on the south beach is much worse than the north beach.  It looks like the ocean has done the worse damage.  North Rodanthe has no dune and appears there are a few less houses, I know one at least.  North Buxton on the ocean has multiple house and motels with a considerable amount of damage.  Hwy 12 has a lot of undermined parts but their no new inlets.  Emergency ferries are starting to run as of tomorrow morning from Stumpy Point to Rodanthe.  Click the Link for more information on the schedule.  http://www.darenc.com/news/newsid.asp?recid=190
