Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had cloudy skies with rain showers most of the day.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

On the Buxton beach today some sea mullet and puppy drum were caught.  Out at Cape Point a few decent drum were caught over 40 inches.  Over on the Frisco beaches some sea mullet and pompano were reported.   The Hatteras beach had sea mullet, blues, croaker and flounder caught.  The picture below is a 9 ft Lemon Shark released by Patrick last night from the beach using wahoo heads.

The boats that fished inshore caught some bluefish and pretty good speckled trout.

The offshore wahoo fishing was excellent with several caught today.  As many as 15 were reported. The blackfin tuna bite was real good today with a few dolphin and  2 white marlin released..  The Picture below is the “Bite Me” charter boat with one of the their two white marlin releases.
