Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was partly cloudy.  We had a high of 65F with winds less than 5 mph.

It was a beautiful day!  Buxton reports black drum and sheepshead around the jetties.  Also on the Buxton beaches were puppy drum and small bluefish.  Cape Point had reports of bluefish on metal and puppy drum on metal and bait.  Frisco beaches had reports of puppy drum, bluefish, a few sea mullet and pompano.  Hatteras had reports of small bluefish, a few flounder and puppy drum.  Pictured below is Francis Kennedy with his citation pompano, caught at Ramp 49.  This pompano weighed 3lb 12 1/2 oz.

The inshore boats had a few puppy drum, flounder, lots of gray trout, bluefish and blow toads.  The offshore boats had limits of king mackerel, dolphin and a few wahoo.
