Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

The 31st Ocracoke Surf Fishing Tournament started today and the weather was sunny and winds were calm part of the day.  There were a some sea mullet and bluefish caught by most participants.  A few teams even caught some nice keeper size puppy drum.  Tomorrow is the final day of the Ocracoke Surf Fishing Tournament.  We hope everyone is having fun and staying safe.  Good Luck fishing.

Today we had a heavy rain squall this morning at day break.  By sun up it was partly sunny.  The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.

Today the only report of fish being caught was on the Buxton beaches and out at Cape Point.  Around the Jetties in Buxton some sea mullet, bluefish and puppy drum were caught.  Out at Cape Point there were big red drum caught this morning and this evening.

There is no inshore or offshore report for today.
