Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Good Luck to all of the Ocracoke Surf Fishing Tournament participants this weekend.  Fishing starts Thursday morning through Friday afternoon.

Today we had partly cloudy skies with some rain showers in the afternoon.  The winds were from the south-east at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

Up on the Avon beach today there were a few puppy drum, blow toads and sea mullet caught. Around the Buxton beaches today there were reports of sea mullet and bluefish.  A few Big Red Drum were landing out at Cape Point in Buxton this evening.  The Frisco beach had reports of puppy drum, blow toads and sea mullet.  Down on the Hatteras beach there were bluefish, sea mullet and blow toads caught.

The inshore boats had excellent catches of puppy drum today.  There is no offshore report for today.
