Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunny skies with light winds.  The winds were from the west at 10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

Up on the Avon beaches some sea mullet, pompano and spot were reported.  Around the Buxton beaches some bluefish were caught.  Out at Cape Point the spanish mackerel and bluefish showed up.  The Frisco beach over Ramp 49 had sea mullet and a black tip shark caught.

The inshore boats had real good puppy drum fishing and good speckled and gray trout fishing.

The offshore boats had a real good day offshore for a change.  Good dolphin and wahoo fishing with scattered catches of black fin tuna and king mackerel and real good blue marlin fishing.

Good luck to all the boats in the 31st Annual Pirate’s Cove Billfish Tournament!
