Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island..

Today was another beautiful December day. The winds were North-East 5-10 mph with temperatures in the upper 50’s. The sun was shining for most of the day.

The fishing is definitely slowing down now. The sharks have shown up and are just about everywhere. From the beach in Avon there was some small flounder and a few sea-mullet caught. In Buxton there was some nice speckled trout caught along with puppy drum. From the Frisco beach there was speckled trout caught. In Hatteras the bluefish and blow toads were biting good. The puppy drum and small flounder were scattered.

No boats fished inshore today.

Offshore the blackfin tuna were biting great. The yellowfin tuna and wahoo bite was scattered. There was a blue marlin released today. The king mackerel were biting good today.
