Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was another sunny day here on the island. the temperature was in the lower 80’s. In the morning the winds were 5-10 mph from the south-west but gradually picked up to  10-15 mph in the afternoon.

From the beach today the fishing was good. From the beach in Avon there was spanish mackeral, sea mullet, croaker, bluefish, and spot caught. In Buxton there was sea mullet, pompano, and blues biting. Here in Frisco the fishing was slow with just a few bluefish and some croaker caught. Hatteras beach had blowtoads, sea mullet, croakers and pompano. on the sound sinde there was some puppy drum caught.

Inshore today the fishing was pretty good. The was a good red drum bite in the afternoon. The spanish mackerel were biting good.

Offshore today the fishing was great.  The dolphin bite was as good as it gets with some boats limiting out. There was a scattered blackfin and wahoo biting. From the bottom there was amberjacks, triggerfish, and red snapper.
